Fresh concrete is vulnerable. During curing, slabs can be damaged by foot traffic, scissor lifts, pallet jacks, dropped tools, material storage, moisture loss and surface contamination. These risks can lead to surface marking, dry lines, uneven curing and costly rework.

The Australian War Memorial’s new Anzac Hall and Anzac Atrium, designed by Cox Architecture. This expansion allows the public to view previously unseen artefacts from the National Collection. The main challenge was the recently laid polished concrete slab throughout the exhibition space which required robust protection during the complex installation of heavy and oversized artefacts.

The public seating and recreation space near Sydney landmark St Marys Cathedral doubles as the roof for the Cook and Phillip Park Pool. Recent improvements to the pool roof waterproofing and renovations of the timber seating area will enhance the function and visual appeal of the public area.

Taylor needed temporary protection solutions for a long-term data centre project that would last the full project duration. While it was in the demolition and groundwork stage, Taylor asked Protecta for expert advice on how to keep key areas protected throughout the entire build.
