Dust & Noise Control

Protecta project specialist David Perna goes behind the scenes on The Block. He shares how a noise barrier became a nightclub, how Protecta Shield XTRA kept a pool spotless, and why protection has to go down early.

Week 3 on The Block saw the build crew turn a construction site into a nightclub, and the neighbours never heard a thing. We step away from the usual room-by-room recap to focus on Protecta Sound Noise Barrier, the acoustic panel system that made it possible: up to 60 dBA noise reduction, lightweight hook-and-loop panels, and the same product builders use every day to keep noisy work near occupied buildings from becoming a neighbourhood dispute. Available to buy or hire.

Introducing the new Protecta Sound Noise Barrier, a solution designed to significantly reduce noise at the source. This product is now available for both purchase and hire, offering flexibility for project managers and contractors seeking to meet noise compliance regulations while remaining budget.

Working within an active hospital environment, the project demanded solutions that ensured minimal disruption, upheld Infection Prevention Control protocols, and allowed safe access for patients, staff and visitors.

Dust on site can lead to additional cleaning costs and safety concerns for your team. The HEPA 300 and HEPA 700 Air Scrubbers used with ZipWall® to create negative air pressure to help clean the air both outside and inside your work zone. Check out the video to keep your air quality in check.
