Site Preparation

Before the first room is completed, a well organised site setup makes all the difference. As The Block kicked off, contestants started strong with ground protection colour coded to match their team colours.

One of the first products installed on site, Protecta Site Mat XTRA, is used to create clean, accessible walkways in all weather conditions while keeping muddy footprints outside.

Bathroom Week

In Week 1 of The Block, bathroom construction was in full swing - and so were the unexpected challenges. A water leak in Robby and Mat’s ensuite had the potential to cause major delays in delivering their bathroom on time.

 Luckily, Protecta Board XTRA was in place. Its water-resistant surface acted as a barrier, while the felt backing absorbed excess water that made its way around and under the board - preventing it from soaking into the screed and delaying the waterproofing process.
