Containment of Dust on Construction Sites

Protecta Tack Mats 

Purpose:

Protecta Tack Mats are adhesive mats with 30 peel-off layers designed to capture dust and dirt from shoes as workers enter and exit the construction site. 

Application:

Place Protecta Tack Mats at all entry and exit points of the construction site. Encourage workers to step on or roll trolleys over these mats to remove dust and debris from shoes and wheels especially when leaving the work site to minimise cleaning required outside the work site.

Boot Dip Mat 

Purpose: 

The Boot Dip Mat is designed as a heavier duty method to clean and disinfect boots to prevent the spread of contaminants, dirt and dust.


Application: 

Use the boot mat on its own or for heavier-duty cleaning, fill the Boot Dip Mat with water or a suitable disinfectant or cleaning solution. 

Place the mat at the entrance/exit of the construction site. 

Workers should step into the Boot Dip Mat and scrub their boots to remove dirt and disinfect them. 

Using the Protecta Site Mat XTRA or other similar mat following the boot dip mat is recommended to help remove excess water on work boots.

Application: 

Lay Ribbed Carpet Runners in high-traffic areas and pathways to contain dust and debris as pedestrians are leaving the work site.

Purpose:

Application: 

Install ZipWall® poles, plastic sheeting, and magnetic doorways around areas where construction activities are taking place to contain dust. Position a Protecta Tack Mat or boot dip mat at the doorway for added dust containment.
