Celebrating 20 Years of Protecting Australian Projects

Protecta began in 2006 as a small, family-owned business founded by the Baker family, Charles, Alister and Bill, with a clear purpose: to provide practical, reliable protection solutions that genuinely worked on site. From the very beginning, the emphasis was on understanding how sites operate and supporting customers with solutions that meet the realities of work on the ground.

Over 20 years, Protecta has grown from a local operation into a national business, shaped by close collaboration with customers across commercial construction, fit-out, refurbishment and infrastructure. As project demands have evolved, the business has adapted its products, logistics and team to meet the realities of working on site. Today, with teams and warehouses nationwide, Protecta continues to focus on reliable service, practical solutions and being easy to work with, wherever projects are located. 

As part of our 20-year milestone, Protecta will be celebrating throughout 2026 with special offers, customer initiatives and a series of videos featuring valued customers and real projects from across the country. It’s our way of saying thank you to the people who have backed Protecta over the last 20 years and helped shape who we are today.
